EP 39: Legal Innovation
This episode was produced in partnership with Lawbrokr, legal’s first customer experience platform powered by lawyers. To learn more, visit lawbrokr.com and see how you can join the movement to become a modern lawyer.
In this episode we are joined by Aaron Baer. Aaron previously summered, articled, and practiced on Bay Street where he became an equity partner at the age of 29. Needless to say, Aaron’s career started off as anything but “off the tracks.” Nowadays, Aaron is the Co-Founder of 4L Academy, a modern legal training program for law students and lawyers, and the Co-Founder of Build Your Book, which teaches lawyers modern business development and sales skills. He is also a Partner at Renno & Co, a boutique law firm dubbed “Canada’s digital law firm.’
This conversation zeroes in on legal technology and the importance of building deliberate relationships to make your career soar. Aaron shares with us the biggest challenge with legal tech today (it’s not what you think!), how he has created the training he wishes he’d had access to in the early stages of his career, and the importance of creating cohesive and effective systems.
